Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Introduction
Maven Studios (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the CSCS Mock Test 2026 - CITB mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App. The App does not require an account or sign-in, so we never receive your name, email address, or other personally identifying information directly.
Information We Collect
Device Information
We collect anonymous device identifiers — a randomly generated UUID that resets if you reinstall the App — for analytics and to deliver push notifications. We also automatically receive standard technical information including your device's operating system, language, app version, and approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address).
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics including which screens you visit, which quiz modes you use, your quiz scores and completion rates, your progress through onboarding, and which features you interact with. Because the App does not require sign-in, none of this data is tied to a personally identifiable account.
Crash Diagnostics
If the App crashes, we receive a crash report including the device model, OS version, app version, and the technical stack trace at the time of the crash. We do not receive your name, email, or other personally identifying information in crash reports.
Purchase Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple's App Store and Google Play. We do not directly collect or store payment details. Our subscription manager receives a notification when you purchase, renew, or cancel and uses that to keep your premium access in sync.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the quiz and mock exam service
- To track your progress and scores within the app
- To process your purchase or subscription through the App Store or Google Play
- To diagnose crashes and bugs
- To understand which features users find useful and improve the App accordingly
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — Anonymous app analytics. Receives an anonymous device identifier, the events you trigger in the App, and your device's OS and version. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — Crash reporting. Receives the technical details of any crash but no personally identifying information. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Mixpanel (Mixpanel Inc.) — Product analytics. Receives an anonymous user identifier, the events you trigger in the App, approximate city-level location derived from your IP address, and your device's OS and version. Mixpanel data is stored on Mixpanel's European Union servers. Mixpanel Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) — Subscription management. Receives subscription lifecycle events (start, renewal, cancellation) from Apple and Google. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — Payment processing and app distribution.
Lawful Basis for Processing (UK and EU users)
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we process your information under the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Legitimate interest for analytics and crash reporting — to maintain and improve the App. The data we process for these purposes is anonymous and minimal.
- Performance of a contract for processing your subscription.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To do so, contact us at the email address below.
International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party processors operate outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area:
- Firebase (Google) and RevenueCat may process data in the United States under appropriate safeguards, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
- Mixpanel data is stored on Mixpanel's European Union servers and is not transferred outside the EU for analytics processing.
Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Analytics data — retained for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted.
- Crash diagnostics — retained for up to 90 days.
- Subscription records — retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 7 years afterwards for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority
Because the App does not require sign-in, we typically cannot link analytics data to a specific person. To request deletion of all data associated with your device, contact us using the email below and we will work with our third-party processors to remove your records.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
